Although, the core supporters, and followers, of President Trump, seem to be inspired, and motivated, by his promises, rhetoric, approaches, and appeals/ agenda, most polls indicate, these people, represent, approximately, 35% of the American public! These same studies, seem to indicate, about 40% are consistently opposed, and do not, at – all, believe in this man! Many state, they want to be served, and represented, by a public official, with genuine empathy, who puts the needs, priorities, and perceptions of the public, ahead of that individual’s personal/ political agenda, and/ or, self – interest! There have been many studies, polls, and surveys, which proclaim, far, too many citizens, seem to believe, Trump doesn’t CARE! With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and why it matters, and is significant.
1. Character; creativity; coordinating: Wouldn’t most of us, be more inspired and motivated, and willing to listen to, believe, and follow, someone, if he clearly, possessed, and maintained, the quality of character, integrity, etc, which they felt, would make, a significant difference, for the better? Don’t we need public leaders, with the relevant, creativity, to think, outside – the – box, and consider, future sustainability, etc, instead of one, who seems, guided by his slogan, Make America Great Again? Instead of, appearing, to only consider, his core supporters, and politics, shouldn’t our President, seek, to coordinate us, for the common/ greater good, instead of pursuing, this adversarial, polarizing approach?
2. Attitude; aptitude; attention; actions; action plan: Instead of pursuing the same – old, same – old, approaches, etc, we need someone with a positive, can – do, attitude, combined with a relevant aptitude, and skill – set, focused on addressing the greater good! This must focus his attention, where it might do, the most good, and his actions, must focus on these needs. There is a need for a clear, relevant, action plan, with the aim, of bringing – us, together!
3. Rhetoric; responsive; responsible; reliable; realistic: Instead of empty rhetoric, we need leaders, who are responsive, responsible, reliable, and realistic, as well as maintain, genuine integrity. These people must be ready, willing, and able, to tell you what you need to know, not just want to hear (TM)!
4. Empathy; emphasis; efforts; excellence: When, any leader, seems, unwilling, etc, to effectively listen, and learn, from every conversation, and experience, he will lack the degree of genuine empathy, citizens need, and deserve! How can he put his emphasis, and efforts, where we want, if he isn’t willing to put our interests, ahead of his? When, Trump, recently, stated, referring to the large toll, from this pandemic, It is, what it is, isn’t that a message, which indicates, lack of adequate caring, and striving for excellence, instead of good – enough?
Do you believe, President Trump, shows, a desire, and willingness, to consistently, CARE, about those, he is supposed to serve and represent? Is that the type of leader, citizens, should accept?
