One of the principal differences, between, those groups, which flourish, despite facing obstacles, and, those, which don’t, is the behavior, perspectives, and attention, paid, by their leaders! Briefly stated, quality leaders realize it’s essential to consistently, do everything possible, to keep, their eyes – on – the – BALL! What good, does it do, if, a leader, only seems busy, rather than paying attention, to the most relevant needs, goals, perceptions, and priorities (instead of the petty stuff)? With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what this means and represents, and, why it matters.
1. Benefits; beliefs; beneficiary; better/ best; bring it: A true leader possesses the necessary combination, of a positive, can – do, attitude, with, a relevant aptitude, and skill – set, so he has the experience, expertise, judgment, and, hopefully, wisdom, to better understand and choose, the best course of action, to seek and focus upon! This should be, about introducing and articulating benefits, in terms, those less – involved, care about, and are willing to understand! One must align his beliefs, with the best interests, and core ideals of the organization, and constituents. The beneficiary of these actions and behaviors, must be, the specific group, and stakeholders, and the obligation of a real leader, should be to make things better, and continuously, strive for the finest, best results! How this occurs, is, often, related to whether or not, a particular individual, in a position of leadership, takes seriously his obligation, to bring – it, every day!
2. Attitude; aptitude; articulate; actions: How can one focus, properly, unless/ until, he proceeds with a positive, can – do, attitude, consistently? When this is combined, with a well – considered, developed, aptitude, and skill – set, the organization, and stakeholders, benefit! Great leaders articulate an inspiring, motivating message, and clearly proceeds with the best possible actions, and action plan, based on superior, strategic planning!
3. Listen; learn; lessons: Instead of, constantly, speaking, the finest leaders, effectively listen, and learn from every conversation, and experience, in order to proceed with genuine empathy! Those, who commit to learning lessons, from history, and their own experiences, often, become, most ready, and capable, of leading!
4. Leading: How can you be considered a real leader, and, even, pay attention (or know what is a true priority), unless/ until, he constantly, is truly, leading?
If you want to lead, you must commit to keeping your eye, on the BALL, and knowing the actions, and strategies, which might make a difference, for the better! Are you up to the task?
